Shared Folder Overlay Server 2008, 2011, Win7 Gone

As you may have noticed in 2008, 2011 & Win7 the shared icon was removed by Microsoft.

You can enable this again without hacks, but Microsoft have built in  a column.

Right click a column and select “More”, Scroll down to “S” and you will see three new options.

The two worth using are;

“Sharing Status” = “Shared” OR “Not shared”

“Shared with” = “Administrators, Domain Users” etc
